The Boathouse, Gigha

The Boathouse, Gigha

£280.00

The Boathouse, Gigha is inspired by the iconic Boathouse Restaurant on the Isle of Gigha, nestled on the shores of Ardminish Bay. Overlooking turquoise waters towards the Kintyre coast, this much-loved landmark has become one of Scotland's best-known coastal destinations, celebrated for both its beautiful setting and its outstanding seafood.

Painted in oil on gesso panel, this original artwork captures the character of the boathouse beneath a bright west coast sky. Layers of fresh blues, greens and pinks are combined with expressive brushwork and rich texture to reflect the colour and light that make Gigha such a special place to visit.

The Boathouse, Gigha’s intimate scale makes it a wonderful addition to any collection of contemporary Scottish art, particularly for those who have visited Gigha or have fond memories of Scotland's west coast.
