The Old Course St Andrews
The Swilcan Bridge
St Andrews Day Trip
ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES
The recent delivery of paintings to Eduardo Alessandro Studios in Broughty Ferry for their still life exhibition, resulted in a short drive south across the Tay Road Bridge, Dundee and over to St Andrews for the day.
A long walk with the family and Beau on West Sands Beach and then, with it being a Sunday and no golf on the course, we walked the 18th fairway of the famous Old Course, stopping to catch our breath at the famous Swilcan Bridge.
We then took a little trip round the shops before a nice meal, and then a quick visit to Jannettas Gelateria for ice cream is a must before the drive home, whatever the weather!
Here’s an image of an abstract painting I did, inspired by our trip. This piece has found a home now but I’m sure there will be many more trips to St Andrews and several new pieces to come.
